Pokemon TCG Pocket continues to roll on despite its declining player base. The recently announced Secluded Springs expansion will focus on the legendary beast trio, entering the arena on August 28th, 2025. We also got a sneak peek at a few more cards, plus a pair of fan favorite legendaries. Let's dive in!
When Does Secluded Springs Release?
Suicune is set to sprint in on Thursday, August 28th, 2025. But based on the teaser video, you can start planning decks now around the three big EX additions.

Here’s when it goes live, depending on your time zone:
11 p.m. PDT
2 a.m. EDT
7 a.m. BST
So make sure your phone is charged, your hourglasses are stocked, and your thumbs are rested.
What’s Included in the Set?
Secluded Springs continues our tour of the Johto region. We are moving past Lugia and Ho-oh and setting our sights on the trio of Suicune, Entei, and Raikou. There was also a peek at a new baby Pokemon in Mantyke, plus a handful of other regional Pokemon to boost the card base.
Card draw is a big advantage, and the legendary beast trio shares the ability Legendary Pulse that lets you draw a card at the end of your turn if they are still in the Active Spot. These new EXs should see a ton of play as Pokemon TCG Pocket is all about speed and a limited deck size. The faster you can filter through, the faster you can win.

Here are some of the standout cards that have already been revealed:
Suicune ex – Fill your bench and deal increasing damage. For 2 water energy, Crystal Waltz does 20 damage for each of your benched Pokemon.
Entei ex – Stack that fire energy and burn your opponents down with Blazing Beatdown. This attack does an extra 60 damage if there are 4 or more fire energy on Entei for a total of 120. Enough to knock out a whole host of Pokemon in one hit.
Raikou ex – For 2 electric energy, Raikou can use Voltaic Bullet, dealing 60 damage to your opponent's active Pokemon plus 10 damage to a Pokemon on your opponent's bench.
Latias and Latios – a fan-favorite pair, Latios has the ability Fantastical Floating, giving it a retreat cost of zero if it is in play. For 3 psychic energy, you can fire a Luster Purge, dealing 120 damage and forcing you to discard all energy from Latios. Latias counts on Latios being on your bench, dealing a total of 40 damage with Crossing Flights—clearly the weaker of the 2.
Mantyke – The energy engine! Mantyke's Splashy Toss lets you take a water energy from your reserve and put it on one of your Bench Basic Pokemon.
Milotic – Miltoic's Healing Ripples ability lets you heal a water Pokémon for 60 on your turn when you play it to evolve a Feebas. Water getting more healing support is diabolical.
Save Those Hourglasses!
Secluded Springs bring more nostalgia to TCG Pocket, but will it help bump the numbers back up? That is yet to be seen. What are you looking forward to in this set, and what features would you like to see to help pull you back into the game?
