Disney Lorcana continues its journey into new storytelling horizons, and Fabled, the ninth set, promises to be a significant chapter for players and collectors alike.

Release Details & Context
Fabled is officially slated for release on September 5, 2025, following LGS launches on August 29, 2025.
It marks the culmination of the ‘First Chapter’ cycle that began with the original 216-card set in August 2023. In that time, Lorcana has grown to over 1,500 cards across eight sets.
New Rarity Tiers: Iconic & Epic
Fabled introduces two exciting new rarities:
Iconic cards are ultra-rare — only 2 per set.
Epic cards are more common than “Enchanted” ones and boast enhanced artwork and foiling.
These new tiers promise high chase value for collectors and add another level of excitement during pack openings.
Competitive Rotation & the Infinity Solution
Starting with Fabled:
The first four sets will rotate out of the Core Constructed format to keep competitive play fresh.
A new format, Infinity Constructed, will allow players to use older cards outside the Core pool, preserving deck creativity.
This gives newer players room to grow while keeping tournament play vibrant—and it ensures older favorites aren’t simply locked out.
Reprints & Enchanted Favorites
To ease the transition and support player collections:
Fabled will reprint key cards from the first four sets.
Some of these will appear in new Enchanted versions, offering upgraded aesthetics and broader availability.
Competitive Support & Community Growth
Ravensburger is further investing in the Lorcana ecosystem and player base:
They've expanded their team with TCG veterans in a new Seattle office, focusing on scaling competitive play and community events.
The inaugural World Championship took place June 28–29, 2025, crowning the first-ever Disney Lorcana Champion.
Expect more organized play, regional events, Twitch previews, and continued Discord engagement ahead of Fabled.
Looking Ahead Beyond Lorcana's Fabled
Whispers in the Well (set 10) is scheduled for Q4 2025 and is set to bring darker tones and new Disney franchises like Gargoyles and The Black Cauldron.
