After all of the news on Final Fantasy and Avatar: The Last Airbender we thought we were done but in seems like Wizards had one last trick up it's sleeve from a galaxy (or universe) far, far away.
Star Wars meets Magic: The Gathering!
In a surprise announcement, it looks like Magic The Gathering fans will get a full Universes Beyond Star Wars set in 2026. Not much is known about the set so far but we did get a look at the booster design as well as a headlining card from the set.

The booster features an unknown Jedi, though it kind of looks like a teen Anakin Skywalker holding a green lightsaber. We will have to wait a bit for more information on this mysterious Jedi but the design overall is sleek on an all black pack with the famous yellow Star Wars font.
Luke Skywalker, the Commander?
We only got a peek at one card but if the rest are anything like this, we are in for a stacked set built for commander play.

Luke Skywalker, Cunning Jedi is a human counterspell for 3. That alone is amazing, but with a ward that makes players sacrifice creatures in order to target him turns him into a force to be reckoned with. This is an exciting entry to a set that will almost certainly pack a galactic punch.
So, what unforgettable characters do you hope to see in the Star Wars set? Let us know in the comments below, and don't forget to check your calendars!
