Sonic the Hedgehog Speeds into Magic: The Gathering’s Secret Lair

Wizards of the Coast is bringing the blue blur to the battlefield. In a high-speed collaboration with Sega, Magic: The Gathering has unveiled a trio of Secret Lair drops inspired by the Sonic the Hedgehog universe. These limited-edition sets launch iconic Sonic characters into the Magic universe, blending video game nostalgia with trading card flair.

A Trio of Drops, A Burst of Nostalgia

The revealed drop, titled Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes, features seven brand-new card designs. Fans can check out beloved characters like Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Dr. Eggman, and even a Super Sonic Enchantment below, all in original artwork treatments. Some of the artists contributing to this set are well-known in the Sonic fandom, now making their Magic debut.

Each drop will be available in both regular print ($29.99) and foil ($39.99) editions. Sales go live on July 14 at 9 a.m. PT exclusively through MagicSecretLair.com. As with all Secret Lair releases, these are time-limited and expected to sell out quickly.
