It's a threshold mechanic: control three or more artifacts, legendaries, and/or Sagas, and you permanently gain an "enduring story" for the rest of the game, unlocking bonus effects on cards like Thorin Oakenshield and Bifur, Melodic Rider. MTG The Hobbit picked up a fresh round of reveals at MagicCon Amsterdam, and this batch is all archetypes and royalty. Thranduil, Bard, and the Queen of Dale anchor two new draft mechanics, Recruit and Storied, while Gollum, Riddle Master and the Desolation of Smaug bring the tension.
